What you'll see

Day 01: After breakfast departure from Tunis, Hammamet, Sousse, Monastir or Mahdia to Kairouan first arabic and islamic city in north africa, visit of the great mosque, the Aghlabide basins, the mausoleum of Sidi Saheb and a workshop of carpets making:2nd best quality of hand made carpets in the world, lunch in Kairouan then departure to the capital of oasis Tozeur. Check in, dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 02: After breakfast departure to the mountains oasis and water falls in the desert Chebika, Tamerza and the canyons and fossiles in Mides, very typical and traditional lunch in the oase (lamb meat with sauce prepared in the jarre made of terra cotta in the traditional way, with salad, fruits and tee).
In the afternoon departure to Nefta to visit the water basket "corbeille de Nefta"; traditional irrigation system used for the palm trees, then drive to Ong Jmal to visit the coulisse of ""STAR WARS"" in the sahara surrounded by high sand dunes.
-back to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 03: After breakfast visit of the old medina and market place of Tozeur and drivd to Douz "the gate of the desert" through the biggest salt lake in north africa "shott el jerid" with a stop in the lake. Lunch in Douz and visit of the museum of the sahara showing the life style and the traditions of the sahara tribes. Possibility of a camel ride or Quad tour in the sahara (optional and extra to pay).drive about 20 km from douz to the campment where bred for dinner will be prepared in the sand in the traditional Nomads way, dinner and overnight under Berber tent.
Day 04: After breakfast departure to Ksar Ghilane oase in the middle of the sahara known for it's natural thermal water spring and for it's roman fortress on the borders of the roman empire, lunch in a restaurant with oase and water spring view. In the afternoon departure to the berber village of matmata to admire the underground dug dwellings and the star wars site, little tour in the village and drive to the hotel: dinner and overnight.

Day 05: After breakfast departure to Ksar Hedada with a panoramic landscape through the Atlas montains with a short stop in the village of toujene.
Visit of Ksar Hedada which was a coulisse for star wars in 1997 and continuation to the ksar of Chenini through the village of Ghermessa.
Lunch and visit of in and of the village of Chenini, and drive to the castle village of Douiret visit check in in a guest house dinner and overnight in typical rooms dating back to the 11.th century.

Day 06: After breakfast departure to El Jem: lunch and visit of the third biggest roman amphitheatre in the world and of the museum of the anciant "thysdrus" and drive back to Monastir, Sousse, Hammamet or Tunis.
