About this experience

This is a 1 or 2-hour South Padre beach activity that you and your group will never forget. This is an informative, hands-on sand-castling activity that will help you have more fun on the beach than ever before. Equipment is provided and available for use for the duration of your stay on South Padre Island.

Sandcastles for Everyone

Learn how to make sand stand using your bare hands, and how to carve using common tools. At Public Beach access #16.<br/>Duration: 1 hour: Our highly-qualified sandcastle instructors will throw as much hands-on fun at you as you can absorb in one hour's time.

Serious Sandcastling

Duration: 2 hours: This lesson can last anywhere from 1.5 - 2 hrs.<br/>Serious Sandcastling : For adults and big kids. We will build and carve a completed castle that will make a worthy backdrop for a photo op.

A qualified instructor will meet you at beach access #16, located at 4400 Gulf Blvd., South Padre Island, Texas. There you will learn a series of techniques for building and carving a better sandcastle. This is hands-on instruction, and in 1 hour you will have a completed (or mostly completed) sand castle, perfect for a family photo op.

Meeting point

Neptune Circle (Beach Access #16) is located just north of Suntide II, 4400 Gulf Blvd). There is limited parking at the access, but you can also park along Gulf Blvd.
Your instructor will be carrying a shovel and some buckets and wearing a black or white "sandyfeet" shirt.

So where exactly is Public Beach Access #16?

It is the public access just north of Suntide II (4400 Gulf Blvd.) There is a small parking lot and you can also park along Gulf.

What do we need to bring?

We provide everything you will need for the lesson, though there are some things it doesn't hurt to have more of (i.e. buckets, shovels and cups.) If you can, bring a (common drinking) straw - one end of which you would feel comfortable putting in your mouth.
