Detailed itinerary

1

Tskaltubo - a popular resort, which is famous for its healing waters in Western Georgia. Due to the fact that the temperature of the carbonated mineral springs is 33-35 Celsius, this allows the use of water without preheating. Here are offered balneological therapies for the treatment of circulatory, nervous and musculoskeletal and skin diseases. Over the past decades "speleotherapy" also became popular for the treatment of lung diseases, a key feature of which is the use of karst caves, representing an environment in which there is no dust.

2

Kumistavi cave, also known as the cave of Prometheus, is located near the Georgian town of Tskhaltubo, 20 km away from Kutaisi in the Imereti region in the West of the country. The cave was discovered in 1984 and was almost immediately developed as a show itself. Kumistavi owes a famous Caucasian myth about Amirani for the sonorous naming of the “Cave of Prometheus”.
There are spectacular views of stalactites, stalagmites, petrified waterfalls, underground rivers and lakes of the cave. Throughout the cave, there are colorful lights, ranging from orange, red to pink and blue. Exactly here you may choose a walking tour along the 1600m route or the boat ride along the underground river.
