About this experience

Amazing tour is waiting for you in a city of wine.

We start a trip with a small town of Sighnaghi referred as a "city of love". It is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Kakheti.

Next we go to Bodbe and see the ancient monastery of St. Nino (IX-XVIII centuries).

Further we will go to Gurjaani, famous for its wineries. We will visit the ancient local wine cellar of the 17th-18th century, where you will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the ancient traditions of winemaking, participate in the process and taste the home-made wine.
You will also take part in making "churchkhela", a traditional delicacy made from nuts, almonds or raisins. During lunch, you can taste unique local cuisine.

After lunch, we are going to visit the castle of the famous Georgian poet of the XIX century, Prince Alexander Chavchavadze in Tsinandali, where you can take a walk in the beautiful garden, visit the winery and taste the local wine.
Return to Tbilisi.

Sighnaghi, the "City of Love," enchants with its picturesque charm. Visitors will explore the 18th-century city walls and towers, offering stunning views of the Alazani Valley and Caucasus Mountains. The Sighnaghi Museum showcases rich history and art, including works by famed painter Niko Pirosmani.

At Bodbe, visitors will explore the serene Bodbe Monastery, a significant religious site dedicated to St. Nino, the 4th-century evangelist who converted Georgia to Christianity. The monastery complex includes beautifully landscaped gardens perfect for peaceful walks and reflection. The main church, with its stunning frescoes and icons, exudes spiritual tranquility. Additionally, visitors can visit St. Nino’s Spring, believed to have healing properties. In Gurjaani, visitors will explore the unique 8th-century Church of All Saints, notable for being the only two-domed church in Georgia. The town is surrounded by beautiful vineyards, offering wine enthusiasts the chance to visit local wineries and sample exquisite Georgian wines.

The Gurjaani Wine House provides an immersive experience into traditional winemaking. Nature lovers will enjoy the picturesque Akhtala Park, with its mineral springs and serene environment. Additionally, the region's charming rural landscapes, with lush greenery and rolling hills, provide a perfect backdrop for leisurely walks and photography, making Gurjaani a delightful blend of history, culture, and natural beauty.

In Tsinandali, visitors will explore the historic Tsinandali Estate, once home to the noble Chavchavadze family. The estate includes a beautifully preserved 19th-century house-museum showcasing period furnishings and artifacts. The expansive and lush English-style gardens, filled with exotic plants and sculptures, offer a serene atmosphere for leisurely strolls. Wine enthusiasts can tour the estate’s renowned winery and ancient wine cellar, sampling traditional Georgian wines.
