About this experience

Located in the municipality of Povoação, in the southeastern part of São Miguel Island, the parish of Faial da Terra hosts one of the most charming villages in the Azores. This area is surrounded by nature and offers an environment of peace and tranquility. On this walk, we will hike through orchards and wooden bridges, heading to the Salto do Prego waterfall, where you can enjoy the beauty of the place. On the way back, we will visit the ancient village of Sanguinho, a historic settlement that takes us back in time. In the afternoon, we will explore Furnas, a place filled with volcanic phenomena and unique traditions from São Miguel Island.
