About this experience

An island tour with Sheena or her brothers around Mahé is a real MUST. You can see how beautiful Mahé is and that the main island of the Seychelles doesn't have to hide from any of the other islands (Praslin & La Digue).

The sights / access points mentioned are options, not all can be seen in 5-6 hours, you can choose what you would like to see or tell us what exactly you would like to see. But no worries, In reality, you will see a lot on the Mahé island tour than we can describe. Culture, country, beaches, people & history.

There is always the possibility on the tour (optional) to buy drinks, have lunch, snacks & takeaways or visit a toilet or make an extra hour/hours with 25 € each hour.

We know the Seychelles, are very flexible with your wishes, are happy to go into everything you want to see and discover. We speak German (not perfect & not always guaranteed), English, French.

Our company is licensed & insured, certified by the tourism authority & licensed by the government.

Detailed itinerary

1

Beautiful & private island tour around Mahé, according to your wishes. Only you or your group/family take part.

You decide in advance or on the day of the tour which activity you would like to see / do. We will adapt to this and give you all our insider tips.

Please note that all the spots we describe below are just examples on our tour.
There is a lot to discover in 5-6 hours, but you still have enough time during the tour to decide where we stop and wait or where we just want to show you and take pictures.

Unfortunately we cannot visit all the places mentioned below due to time constraints. 5-6 hours is a long time in the car. You can therefore choose what you want to see and experience.

However, if after 5-6 hours you still haven't seen and discovered enough of our beautiful paradise and you still feel energetic, you can extend the Mahé Island Tour at any time for €25 per hour.

2

One of the smallest capital cities in the world.
We will pass many sights here and only stop briefly.
(if you want to explore Victoria and all the sights on foot, we also offer a special city tour here)
https://islandtourseychelles.com/tour/city-tour-victoria/

We will see the Hindu temple, the museum, the Clocktower, the largest and oldest church in the Seychelles, the small marina of Victoria, various sculptures, landmarks of the Seychelles and, for example, the building of the exceptionally beautiful Supreme Court of Seychelles.

3

We will show you around Eden Island and take a break for lunch or a visit to the toilet if necessary.
On Eden you can also buy small souvenirs and see all the yachts and boats in the marina.

4

You simply have to try this local rum. We will also show you how it is made and give you a nice tour.
The guided tour costs 150 rupees and the tasting depends on the quantity.
However, it is not a sales event, everyone is free to participate, no obligation to buy.

Please note that the distillery is closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Information on public holidays in the Seychelles can be found here:

5

Anse Royale is a beautiful, long beach in the south-east of Mahe. We will stay here for a while, as there is a nice restaurant on the beach and the option of using a toilet or an outdoor shower.

6
Stop 6

A round tour through the spice garden, where you can explore all possible endemic plants of the Seychelles, herbs and medicinal herbs with examples of their use.

You will have plenty of time and opportunities to take photos of all the endemic spices and plants.

The Spicegarden also has its own restaurant where you can cook with the garden's own plants and spices and enjoy a delicious lunch (optional).

Please note that the Jardin du Roy Spice Garden is closed on public holidays.

7

Swimming, snorkeling, admiring, photography.

There is also the Summer Beach Bar, where you can enjoy cocktails on the beach. A perfect place to relax.

The approximate time you need here is about 1 hour (depending on the amount of cocktails). :-)

8

Lonely and beautiful beach in the southwest of Mahe. Giant turtles, a small bay with a Creole restaurant and genuine Seychelles cuisine right on the beach await you for an (optionally) delicious lunch.

9

A real insider tip from a very small but beautiful beach in the south-west of Mahé. There is also a great restaurant there for lunch, where you can enjoy Creole and vegetarian cuisine as well as freshly caught fish. A toilet is also available there.

10

A very beautiful and unusual waterfall for the Seychelles.

We will walk about 15 minutes to the waterfall (not strenuous).
The waterfall has a small lake in front of it, where you can take a refreshing dip in the spring-fresh water. Please bring a towel for this.

Please note that the Sauzier waterfall is closed on public holidays.

11

Very old sight of the town of Venn with the history of the Seychelles and perfect view of the west coast of Venn to take great photos.

Please note that Mission Lodge is closed on public holidays.

12

Beau Vallon is THE beach in the north of Mahe.

There is a lot to see, we like to stop and it is always possible to swim or snorkel, just as you wish.

There are also some local take-aways with fresh fish and Creole food, coconuts and other fruits to buy.

There is also the Beach Shak Bar, where you can enjoy delicious rum (Takamaka) cocktails, a freshly tapped, cool local beer (Seybrew) or a non-alcoholic mocktail with a beach view and access to the beach.

Depending on what time you book our island tour, you also have the option of an enchanting sunset, which starts at around 6 pm and finishes at 7 pm.
If you are interested, you can extend the island tour at any time (€25 per hour). You can decide this yourself at short notice on the day of the tour. We are very flexible and happy to accommodate your wishes.

13

These beautiful options are also available on Mahé:

Short walk to Mont Signal
It's really only a 5-10 minute walk, but you have a great view of Victoria, the St. Anne Marine Park and its small islands (St. Anne, Long Island, Round Island, Moyenne and Cerf).

Panoramic view of Eden Island and Victoria
We stop at a very beautiful point near Victoria. You can take great pictures at this point.

Carana Beach granite rocks
You have to see and photograph this. Extremely spectacular, unique and beautiful. You can also swim there, but the waves are rough and only suitable for good swimmers.

Port Launay, Hotel Ephelia
One of the most beautiful beaches on Mahe, in a great bay. Depending on where you are staying, you can combine this with a sunset.

Sunset drink / sunset cocktail on the beach
Experiencing the sunset on an island tour on Mahé is incredible.

14

We definitely have fun, a good mood and Creole music.

If you have any special wishes, plans or requests, please let us know. We love challenges.

Our tours are all private and groups of more than 25 people are also possible with this tour and several certified tour guides, in air-conditioned buses, with their own driver.

As standard for up to 4 guests, the tour takes place in a very comfortable 5-seater vehicle. On request, a 7-seater minibus can be booked by prior arrangement and additional cost.

Bigger groups from 5-25 guests, will always have a bus. No extra costs.
