Begin your private tour with a 8 a.m. pickup from your hotel in San Jose, Heredia or Alajuela. Drive roughly an hour through the countryside in an air-conditioned car en route to the well-known La Paz Watefall Gardens to see tropical birds, butterflies, and flowers amid a rain forest environment, and hike through the forest to find sloths and monkeys hanging in the trees.
After lunch at this amazing place, we will head to Arenal Volcano to relax at one of the best Hot Springs Resort of the area, located in the foothills of the colossus.Tabacón has five different springs, the temperatures differ from 77 F (25 C) to 122 F (50 C). The thermal river that flows through the resort is heated by the still active Arenal Volcano. The resort has a cold river as well, go here to change temperatures (very good for the body and skin).
The main area has a swim-up bar and a waterslide. Enjoy a refreshing drink while you are relaxing in the streaming water. Find some adventure after the relaxing and go down the waterslide. The lower section has secluded pools that give an amazing view of the Arenal Volcano. All pools are surrounded by gardens.
Tabacón also has spa facilities where you can enjoy a variety of treatments.
