Jal Mahal (meaning "Water Palace") is a palace in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, India. The palace and the lake around it were renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.

The royal cenotaphs, located outside the city walls, 15 km from Jaipur at the underneath Nahargarh Fort, Royal Gaitor Tumbas is the cremation ground of the Royal Maharajas of Rajasthan. Gaitore means the resting place of decedent souls. You may want to visit this place if you are interested in the study of Cenotaphs dedicated to various rulers. Jal Mahal (Water Palace), a Rajput style architecture palace sits in the centre of the Mansarovar lake. The lake is often dry in the winter, but summer monsoons frequently turn it into a beautiful lake filled with water hyacinths.

Also known with the name of ‘Palace of Winds’ it is an architectural marvel of the 18th century. Designed by Ustad Lal Chand, it is built with pink and red sandstone's to camouflage with the colour of Pink City. With a total of nine hundred and fifty-three windows and standing up to a height of 15 meter, the five-storied palace was built for the royal ladies by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799.

The magnificent scientific place Jantar Mantar of this Jaipur tour was built in 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the huge masonry instruments were used to study the movement of constellations and stars in the sky. Enormous sun-dial still provides accurate time, which is subject to daily corrections.
