Detailed itinerary

We head to the Old Town in Uppsala , it is 5 km north of the city where we visit the pagan Viking burial mounds , the medieval church and the museum.

Stop 2

We visit the historical district in Uppsala in the west bank of the river Fyris where we stop by :
-The Botanist Linnee museum,
-the Medieval Cathedral,
-The Old University building,
-Karolina Rediviva Library
-the medieval castle

Stop 3

We visit the botanical gardens and museum where the Linne used to live and work.

Stop 4

We visit the medieval church in Uppsala dating back to the 13th century .

We stop by the old university building in the city centre and admire a rune stone from 11th century in the courtyard.

We stop by the oldest university library in Uppsala from the 17th century.

Stop 7

Finally , we visit the Old Castle in Uppsala dating back to the 16th century , the art museum and we take a coffee break in the picturesque coffee shop in the basement of the castle.
