Banyumala Waterfall is one of the lesser known waterfalls in Bali. It is located north of Lake Buyan in northcentral Bali. Unlike many trails this is a completely natural trail and rarely hiked trail. Just past the waterfall is a water curtain of various trickles of water down a wall of lush rocks. It is on the crater rim road between Munduk and the main highway from Singaraja to Denpasar. This is not an easy waterfall to find. There is a faded sign leading down a small rural road away from Lake Buyan.

Ulun Danu Beratan Temple was built in the 17th century in worship of the main Hindu trinity, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, as well as the lake goddess, Dewi Danu. The sight and cool atmosphere of the Bali uplands have made the lake and this temple a favorite sightseeing and recreational spot as well as a frequently photographed site. The history of the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple can be traced back to the rise of the Mengwi kingdom. The floating temple complex is comprised of four groups of shrines, including the prominent Lingga Petak shrine to its east. There are four gates facing each of the four points of the compass. The second group is located in the west and pays homage to another temple in the hill of Puncak Mangu and is regarded as the symbol of soil fertility. The puncak or hilltop of Mangu is northeast of Lake Beratan.
Bali Botanic Garden (Indonesian: Kebun Raya Bali) is the largest botanic garden in Indonesia and is located in the mountainous region of Bedugul, central Bali, around 90 minutes drive north of Denpasar. The Garden was established on 15 July 1959 and is situated around 1300 metres above sea level overlooking Bratan Lake and the Ulun Danu Temple on the slopes of Tapak Hill. The garden is made up of both open areas for recreation and remnant mountain rainforest. Attractions include a large orchid display, carnivorous plants, bamboo garden, cactus greenhouse, a fern garden, traditional Balinese medicinal plants, and ceremonial plants, Rhododendron garden, a rose garden, aquatic garden, conservatory and one of the world's largest begonia collections. On a clear day, there are good views to Lake Bratan and one of the most photographed trees in the garden is a giant ficus or fig tree located on the upper slope of Tapak Hill.
