After lunch,The Pyramids of Giza are one of the most famous tourist attractions in Egypt and the world. They were built as tombs for pharaohs during the Old Kingdom period, around 2500 BC. The three pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus are located on the Giza plateau, on the outskirts of Cairo.
The Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Cheops or Khufu, is the largest and most famous of the three pyramids. It is estimated to have taken around 20 years to build and is made up of over 2 million limestone blocks, each weighing around 2.5 tons.
The Pyramid of Chephren, or Khafre, is slightly smaller than the Great Pyramid but appears taller because it is built on higher ground. The Pyramid of Mykerinus, or Menkaure, is the smallest of the three and is located to the south-west of the other two.
After visiting the pyramids, the tour will continue to the Great Sphinx, a majestic statue with the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion. The Sphinx is located near the Pyramid of Chephren and is believed to have been built around the same time.
The tour will also include a visit to the Valley Temple, which is located close to the Pyramid of Chephren. This temple was used for the mummification process of the pharaohs and was an important part of the burial ritual.
