Discover the Yarra River as you forget about the surrounding city and get lost in the natural beauty of the river. Spot Water Dragons basking in the sun, listen to the bird life and on occasion spot a platypus or Salvador the resident seal. Your journey begins at Hawthorn Rowing club where the team will take you through an essential safety briefing before you set off down the river. Whether you are visiting from overseas, interstate or are local, this experience has something for everyone. Pack a picnic lunch and stop at Herring island environmental sculpture park or stop by Kanteen for a coffee before continuing your journey to Boathouse drive.

This is a one way journey down the Yarra River to Boathouse Dr. We suggest taking public transport as parking at the start location is limited.
We ask that all paddlers arrive at their booked session at least 20 minutes before the scheduled meet time. This allows for the check in process and will assist a prompt start and ensure you maximise your play time on the water.
What to Wear (outdoor clothing is best)
