On top of visiting each culinary artisan's shop, where you will do the tastings, you will pass by the city’s oldest restaurant, where Brillat-Savarin wrote part of La Physiologie du Goût, our first food guide. You'll also visit a chocolate shop founded under Napoleon.
Along the way, our expert guides will share fascinating insights into the French terroirs and their history!
"Your tour begins before one of Paris’s most remarkable churches: a 19th-century Neo-Gothic basilica in the city’s most prestigious neighborhood. Admire its stained glass, grand organ, and luminous atmosphere while learning about its history and the 1850s architectural innovations that shaped modern Paris.
You’ll then make your way toward Les Invalides, originally built by Louis XIV as a military hospital and today home to Napoleon’s tomb. Along the route, you’ll pass 18th-century private mansions and important political institutions such as l'Assemblée Nationale. Facing Les Invalides, you’ll pause to enjoy a freshly prepared pastry from Maison Fleuret’s chefs.
The walk continues to a celebrated local artisan, a world champion for his pâté en croûte and a former chef at the iconic La Tour d'Argent. You’ll taste his award-winning pâté along with his gougères, traditional savory bites from Burgundy.
Across from the street, you’ll explore a lively open-air market filled with farmers' stalls and local producers. Here, you’ll gather sweet treats at one of Paris’s most acclaimed modern pastry shops as well as cured sardines from Brittany, chosen by one of Paris’s leading fishmongers.
Next, you'll visit a wine cellar for a guided tasting of four natural wines: champagne, red, white, and orange. You’ll learn about the different cépages, vinification methods, terroirs, the artisanal work behind each bottle and the history behind the recent rise of the natural wine scene in France.
To pair with the wines, you’ll taste a curated selection of cheeses, sourced from local artisans located just next to the cellar, as well as the different items we gathered previously.
The experience concludes with a visit to the chocolate workshop of a three michelin star chef: Yannick Alleno, where you'll savor original creations with unique blend of flavors based on citruses, nuts, spirits and much more.
