Detailed itinerary

1

Uncle Larry's Restaurant offers pork chops, hot dogs, fried okra, fried green tomatoes, chili, turnip greens, macaroni and cheese and homemade desserts, but Uncle Larry's claim to fame is fried fish. Catfish, whiting and tilapia are all on the menu.

The sign in the window says: "Fish so good it will smack you."

Which is what guests will be having for the tour. Uncle Larry's famous fish!

2

Stop 2: Proof is a collaborative community for food and beverage professionals. It is an industry education space. It is a resource for best practices, networking, mentors, and help with figuring out what your best opportunities are and how to pursue them strategically.

Within Proof Bar & Incubator is Neutral Ground - A Modern New Orleans Style Po-Boy and Yakamein Restaurant. Neutral Ground offers a House Made Louisiana Hot Sausage Po-Boy, Smoked Brisket Po-Boy, and Smoked Brisket Meatball Yakamein.

3

Stop 3: Chatt Smoke House...3 words. Must. Love. Barbeque. The meat is slow cooked daily using charcoal and hickory wood. The rub is James' (owner) own original recipe and so is the sauce. Even though they aren't on the menu; call him ahead of time and he will make a special batch just for you.

Chatt Smoke House recipes are all James' originals - his rubs, sauce, chilli and cole slaw. Unlike other restaurant's, Chatt Smoke House hot dogs are grilled and come with homemade chilli.
