We will accompany you to a unique place
Budelli, Spargi and the other islands of the La Maddalena archipelago.
The archipelago of La Maddalena enchants with its intense colours, breathtaking transparencies and unspoilt nature, and numerous white coves hidden in a crystal-clear turquoise sea.
We have been working with passion in the sector since 1995 and are known for the superlative bathing stop at the Piscine di Budelli - Porto della Madonna and the stop at La Maddalena; but the archipelago is full of surprises and enchanting places.
The itinerary is among the most beautiful and complete, with four more or less long stops that will allow you to swim on the beaches, sunbathe in relaxation and admire the unspoilt nature of these islands.
We are well aware that you would need more time and perhaps more privacy to visit these places, but we have been working for years with passion and commitment, trying to keep our prices honest and within everyone's reach, with the aim of delighting you with this taste of paradise!
We will meet in front of the Lady Luna 2 boat, at embarkation point 4 in front of the Palau maritime station, at the ferry embarkation point.
Check-in time is at 9:45 a.m.
At 10.30am we will depart from the port and begin our excursion.
We will sail along the coast of Palau and see Punta Sardegna and Porto Faro, a place famous for its small beach and
its residences.
The island of Budelli, offers safe shelter to hundreds of small and large boats.
It is famous for the presence of the Pink Beach and for the colour of its blue waters as 'the Madonna's mantle'.
Porto della Madonna or natural pools...Here our customers can swim at anchor in front of the Cavaliere beach ( natural pools ) for about 20 minutes, the motor vessel has a platform on the stern where the ladders are located for a comfortable descent into the sea or diving.
We moor at the island of Santa Maria ( beach stop )
and here you can swim in the beautiful blue waters of the bay.
On the island of Santa Maria is the famous Benedictine Monastery, now disused, and a few houses inhabited only in summer, including that of the famous Italian actor Roberto Benigni.
Back on board, you can join us for lunch and buy a plate of pasta with shrimp sauce (EURO 10.00) or a cold main course (EURO 12.00) or a Caprese salad (EURO 10.00).
The Pink Beach is so called because of the colour of its sand.
The splendid colouring is due to a pink micro-organism that infests the posidonia meadows and lives inside the shells. When it dies, the shells are washed ashore, being broken up by the action of the water.
Anchoring and irregular sea agitation have caused the posidonia to recede and changed the sand composition. Since 1998, the introduction of regulations to fully protect the beach, closed to landing (also to avoid new sand looting) bathing and boat anchoring, have allowed it to slightly regain its colouring.
We will take a short break from the boat, keeping a distance from the buoys that mark it off.
The island of Spargi...
is one of the last corners of paradise on earth. Enchantingly beautiful and wild, with its coastline sculpted by the force of the mistral wind and enchanting coves with fine sand, it is a dream for our tourists and an oasis for wildlife.
We will continue with a panoramic sail around the coast of Spargi Island: Cala Connari, Cala dell'amore, Cala Corsara and Cala Soraya. We will then reach the beautiful inlet of Cala Granara and afterwards, while sailing, we will admire the famous rocks of Testa della Strega, the Bulldog Dog and Italy in miniature.
Here we will make our third stop on the beach and you will have plenty of time to swim and photograph the beauty of the bay. For hikers and walkers, Spargi is unique with its beautiful nature trails and military forts.
The island of Santo Stefano is the fourth largest island in size at 3 square kilometres. Until a few years ago, a large portion of the island was occupied by a NATO military base, where large American nuclear-powered submarines were moored; however, it was decommissioned in 2002 and is awaiting redevelopment.
Of the island of La Maddalena, you will visit its beautiful centre, with the church of Santa Maria Maddalena, shops that are always open and excellent ice-cream parlours where you can enjoy a refreshing break after so much sea
The island of La Maddalena is the largest in size.
Its coastline is about 45 km long and alternates between steep cliffs and gentle bays with small but beautiful beaches.
The rocks, including the famous granite and porphyry, take on brilliant colours under the sun's rays.
In the interior, the Mediterranean macchia grows luxuriantly, brushing the surface of the island with green, its relief reaching a maximum height of 146 metres.
A panoramic road runs along the entire perimeter, offering spectacular views of the coastline of Sardinia and the islands of the archipelago.
The town, the sea and the numerous services offered have made the island of La Maddalena an increasingly popular and popular tourist destination over the years.
From here, one can reach any of the islands in the archipelago, but also the most renowned holiday destinations of the Costa Smeralda.
The meeting point is in Piazza del Molo, Palau's commercial harbour at pier 4 in front of the maritime station - we are next to the ferry embarkation point.
