We will pick you up at your hotel by a motorbike and transfer to Thanh Toan village, which is about 8km from Hue city. On the way to the village, we can enjoy the view of the rice fields, lotus farms, and some farm animals. The village is really peaceful with a local market, the agricultural museum and the famous Thanh Toan tile-roofed bridge. And this is an ideal place for us to hold our cooking class.
Firstly, we will go to Thanh Toan market to buy ingredients that will be used in the cooking class. Here, you will have a chance to see how local people sell and buy foods for their daily meals and learn how distinguish fresh ingredients. You can also be able to see the famous bridge and the museum which are located nearby.
After the market, a local chef from the village and your English Speaking tour guide will let you experience how to properly prepare the ingredients before cooking and how to make your own Hue dishes, which you will enjoy for lunch. If you did not make the best one or you made something inedible, do not worry. The local chef will prepare lunch for backup and you can eat and share the food together.
After lunch, you will have an interesting conversation with the host to understand more about the daily life of local people. Then, you will get back to the city and finish the tour with a sweet memory.
