A legend tells that after God was done painting the sky, he washed the brushes in this river. The colors at Rio Celeste are truly magnificent, and this hike will take you to lots of picture perfect sights. Once at Tenorio Volcano National Park your guide will give a short introduction, and then the 5 miles hike starts going through the tropical rain forest, where fauna and flora are plentiful. During the hike we will visit “Los Teñideros”, where two stream of crystalline water come together and form the astonishing blue color that gives the river its name. On the hike you also come by the volcano’s furnace vents that expel gases of extreme high temperatures, and you will have the chance to take a dip in the natural hot springs. On the way you will also get to see the spectacular Rio Celeste waterfall whose colors makes it one of a kind! Next we will visit Sloths Sanctuary and wildlife in their natural habitat and an exquisite traditional meal .
