The tour starts in the morning at the designated meeting point in Silves, where we’ll begin our journey to an organic citrus farm nestled in the rural Algarve. Once at the farm, a passionate local farmer will guide you through the fascinating world of Silves citrus cultivation, explaining the various orange varieties, sustainable farming practices, and techniques from irrigation to harvest.

You’ll have the chance to hand-pick fresh oranges and enjoy a refreshing glass of orange juice in the farmer’s home. After that, participate in a fun and educational jam-making workshop, where you’ll learn to create your own jam to take home.

Finally, we will sit at the table to enjoy a delicious home-made lunch, featuring traditional dishes made with fresh, local ingredients.

You will meet a passionate farming couple in their family home dating back to the early 1900s, to Grandma Gloria's time. The house has been wisely recuperated keeping the charm of a typical Algarvian country house. Geese and ducks happily caw around the pond and welcome you!

We will pick ourselves oranges at the farm and then prepare an amazing orange jams in the farmer's house for you to take away.

Everyone to the table! Expect traditional recipes, fresh products from the vegetable garden and typical Algarvian cakes; every dish is cooked and served with lots of love!Vegan and Vegetarian are welcome!
