The area also serves as a major hub for those wishing to climb Mount Fuji during the climbing season (July and August), and is also popular with photographers due to the panoramic views of the mountain from the shore.

Fuji Panoramic Ropeway (also called the Kachi Kachi Ropeway). This cable car brings you up the 220 meters to the observation point and offers fantastic views of the lake as you ascend. Whichever method you choose, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views and the perfect shot of Mount Fuji on a clear day.

Couldn't recommend it enough, gives you great views of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding lakes, the souvenir shops is good too. Oishi Park is a scenic park where you can enjoy the view of flowers, the Lake Kawaguchi-ko and the majestic Mt. Fuji at the same time.

At Saiko Iyashi no Sato Neba, a thatched-roof village that has been revived over a long period of time, while fully admiring the beautiful scenery of the four seasons and the majestic appearance of Mt. Fuji. Please enjoy a rich time with a good taste.

People visit the shrine to ward off evil, to pray for family happiness, and safe childbirth. In the spring, the cherry blossom trees bloom and crowds gather to enjoy the stunning view of Mt. Fuji.
