You will be able to visit the perfect mixture of archeology and nature. Let our guide lead you from the ancient history of Butrint, covered with archaeological sites such as an amphitheater and monastery, to the pearl of Albania, Ksamil, that is known for its crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea. Ksamil is still a hidden gem made up of small islands which you can reach by swimming or by boat.
Butrint is a place where history feels alive. Declared a “museum town” back in 1961 and added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1992, it’s one of Albania’s most treasured archaeological sites. As we walk through the ruins, we’ll visit the beautifully preserved Greek-Roman theater dedicated to Asclepius, the god of medicine, step inside the old Byzantine Basilica, explore the small museum inside the castle, and discover many other fascinating remains from ancient times.
Ksamil is easily one of the most breathtaking spots in southern Albania. Its tiny islands just offshore and its crystal-clear waters make it feel like a little corner of paradise. During our visit, we’ll head to some of Ksamil’s prettiest beaches, where you’ll have time to unwind, swim, or simply enjoy the scenery.
