Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

From July 2003 to September 2005, Cheonggyecheon underwent a dramatic transformation. A major restoration project revitalized a 5.84 km section around the covered Cheonggyecheon-ro and Samil-ro, installing 22 bridges and turning the area into a relaxing urban retreat for citizens.

Centered around Cheonggye Plaza, the area now serves as a cultural hub, hosting various events and festivals. In recent years, it has also flourished as an artistic space. At creative venues like Gwanggyo Gallery and Cheonggye Creative Studio, visitors can experience the work of talented artists, while street performers bring vibrant energy to the area on weekends.

Cheonggyecheon’s transformation is still ongoing, continuing to evolve as a dynamic cultural and artistic landmark.

2

A Masterpiece of Korea’s Cutting-Edge Engineering, the World’s Largest 3D Free-Form Architecture
The creation and installation of 45,133 uniquely shaped exterior panels—DDP is a structure with no straight lines or separate walls, both inside and out.

Designed by the renowned British architect Zaha Hadid, DDP flows seamlessly like water, unlike conventional buildings that stand in contrast to one another. Here, spaces are not divided; the roof becomes the wall, and the wall transforms into the roof. Open spaces blend harmoniously, creating a dynamic and interconnected environment—an architectural "metonymic landscape" where movement and coexistence shape the experience.

Stop 3

Romantic island within the city, N SEOUL TOWER
The N SEOUL TOWER, a complex culture space in Seoul, is where the clouds seem to meet with Namsan Mountain. It shows visitors the harmony of Namsan's nature, the 21st century state of the art, resting with leisure, and various cultures.
The N SEOUL TOWER, which is a symbol of Seoul now, was established at the highest point to glance at the most beautiful images of Seoul. It is also Korea’s first general radio wave tower from 1969, delivering TV and radio broadcasting in the metropolitan area.
Since the N SEOUL TOWER was opened to the general public in 1980, it has become a resting place for the citizens of Seoul as well as a touristic attraction for foreigners with the living nature of Namsan.
With the latest LED technology lighting which constantly changes colors and patterns, it has become a 'light art' providing various media art together with an unusual cultural art experience.

Seoullo 7017: A City Regeneration Project Transforming a Highway into a Walkway
Seoullo 7017 is an urban regeneration project that transformed an overpass, originally built for cars in 1970, into a pedestrian-friendly walkway in 2017. The Seoul Station Overpass, which connected the eastern and western parts of the city for 45 years, was deemed structurally unsafe with a safety rating of D in 2015 and faced demolition. However, it was reborn as Seoullo 7017, offering citizens a vibrant green space and the joy of walking in the heart of the city.

The name 7017 reflects its history—built in 1970 and reborn in 2017—while also symbolizing the 17 pedestrian pathways it connects. Now transformed into a lush green walkway filled with a variety of flowers and trees, Seoullo 7017 serves as both an urban oasis and a bridge between neighborhoods. Enjoy Seoul’s history, culture, and nature along this unique elevated walkway!
