Your guide will meet you at the main train station before whisking you away via public transport to the magnificent palace of Nymphenburg where you will spend an unforgettable half day in one of the most beautiful of Europe’s palaces. As you walk through stunning baroque interior your guide will cover the fascinatingly history of the Wittelsbach royal family in an age of glory, war and betrayal. You will also learn about daily court life from aristocratic flirting to the daily grind of the servants.
Outside the palace there are the beautiful park gardens to explore with their four famous pleasure palaces such as the Amalienburg hunting lodge with its mini hall of mirrors or the Badenburg, the royal 18th century swimming pool. (Park palaces closed 16th October to March 28th). The royal carridge museam is also available to visit.
Finally you will be taken back to Munich Hbf or you can join your guide in a local beer garden to cool off.
