About this experience

Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius are the undisputed protagonists of the 79 AD eruption.
Get to know more about it with this incredible full day experience.
You will visit Pompeii in a small group tour led by an Archaeologist guide who will show you the best highlights of the site like the Forum – the main square of the city –, the main houses and buildings.
Then meet the hiking guide in the afternoon and leave with our minibus for up to 14 people with direction to Mount Vesuvius.
As arrive at Vesuvius entrance first 30 minutes up to the crater there's a steep walking to reach the top.
Hike the volcano and reach the top of it: look inside the still quiescent crater and wonder at the amazing landscape around you and the beautiful panorama overlooking the Bay of Naples.
At the end of the excursion, you will be transported back to Pompeii, where the tour concludes.

Transfer to Mt. Vesuvius.
Get on the top of the volcano to see the crater that still smokes slightly. Besides that, you will have a stunning panorama of the Bay of Naples, Capri, Ischia, the edge of the Sorrento coast and more. The last 500m is a very steep uphill walk, and closed-in shoes are essential.
At the end of the visit, back to the main entrance of Pompeii Ruins, called Porta Marina Superiore.
