Through Ameyoko local shopping street, head to spacious Ueno park with small temple & shrine, pond, lined with thousands of cherry trees in full bloom. The last destination is Yanaka where the last shogun's tomb is located and old houses and small temples remain. At nostalgic Yanaka Ginza enjoy drinking, eating street food and shopping souvenirs. Stop 1

Morning stroll in quiet Sensoji temple, viewing weeping cherry blossoms, beautifully painted shutters by a group of artists at Nakamise shops. Sensoji temple is the oldest temple in Tokyo and land mark of Asakusa.

Stop 2

Ameya Yokocho, a shopping arcade lined with shops selling fresh fish, food, daily goods. The local people and tourists eat and drink at food stands.

Enjoy Ueno park lined with more than a thousand of cherry blossoms and remains of Tokugawa family's temples such as Ueno Toshogu and Kiyomizu Kannnon temple and Shinobazu pond.

At Tennoji temple Buddha statue sits calmly and the compound is well maintained with beautiful weeping cherry trees. You may hear sutra chanting by monk from inside.

At Yanaka cemetery, there is the last Shogun's tomb and the guide talk about the background and Japanese religion. The street in the center is lined with beautiful cherry blossoms and the locals walk along to visit their ancestor's cemetery.

Yanaka Ginza shopping street lined with about 70 daily shops selling liquors, ice cream, cutlets and croquettes, fish and meal, fruits and vegetables, souvenir. Enjoy eating and drinking like the locals do.
