The mine was originally established in 1870. During this tour, visitors can witness the rugged conditions in which the miners worked, experience the cool atmosphere of the tunnels, and see the various equipment and machinery that were used for gold extraction. The knowledgeable guides provide fascinating insights into the challenges faced by the miners and the significant role the mine played in the economy.

In addition to the underground tour, visitors can also enjoy panoramic views of the views of the surrounding Julian landscape from the mine's observation desk. The scenery includes rolling hills, wooded areas, and the charming town of Julian itself.

The historic downtown area features well preserved buildings that house boutique shops, art galleries, antique stores..
Travelers will have time to have lunch, and stroll along Main street, taking the rustic atmosphere and will have to time to browse through unique stores that offer everything.
