We are going to the mountains so be prepared for the freezing weather and take something warm and comfortable shoes with you.
Sometimes roads are blocked because of snow and we cannot go beyond Gudauri but no worries. In this case, we stay in ski resort Gudauri and have an opportunity to ski, go up to the top of the mountain by cable car, try paragliding, ATV bikes, Horse riding, etc.

We start our tour by visiting Jinvali dam. It became a new water supply for Tbilisi in 1985. As a result, we have a beautiful lake with stunning views of the water and surrounding colorful forests. At this place, you can grab some coffee, buy souvenirs and of course shoot some beautiful pictures with the amazing views of Jinvali.

Afterward, we stop to explore Ananuri Fortress Complex. This place attracts everyone with its views and history. Ananuri Fortress was one of the strongest strongholds of medieval times in Georgia. It was attacked many times throughout the centuries but it still stands to attract more and more guests every day. Currently, this castle is a UNESCO Heritage Site and its merging with the beauty of the Aragvi gorge gives this place a flawless charm.

If you ask someone what to try in this region they will definitely answer: "Ski if there is a snow and do paragliding!"
By heading up the military highway our next stop is Georgian - Russian friendship monument from where you can see breathtaking view of Caucasian mountains and of course you have an opportunity to try paragliding which is once in a lifetime experience.

Gergeti Trinity Church - XIV century complex built on 2200 meters above the sea level. Many travelers consider it as a real paradise on earth. It is a church surrounded by a thrilling nature and the British newspaper Telegraph has placed it in the list of the most beautiful churches in the world.
