Once you are on the Olumo Rock, it is always exciting to listen to the tales of this rock that served as a refuge during the inter-tribal wars. . As you hike up to the rock’s pinnacle; you will admire unbeatable views of the ancient city of Abeokuta.
This is an adventure! Olumo Rock is located in Abeokuta, Ogun State, a two hours’ drive from Lagos. It is an historical monument, which served as a shelter and fortress to the Egba Warriors during the Yoruba Intercity wars in the 19th century. At the top of the rock, you will be able to see the amazing blue skies, the vegetation and just revel in the beauty of nature. If you love nature, scenery with some peace and quiet, this is for you.
At the base of the rock, there is an Art gallery that features some local artworks including a museum with interesting artifacts.

Your tour starts with a 90mins drive from Lagos to Olumo Rock.
The complete climb without any shortcuts to the top of the rock will take you about 30 minutes. There is the option of using the stairs if you don’t want to climb. Our local tour guides will make the trip so much fun as you learn the history and mysteries of the rocks
