2

You will cycle around Maebashi's urban area and try local coffee and snacks.

3

The main deity of this Japanese Shinto shrine is the god of safe childbirth, so you'll often see many young couples wishing for babies and young families with small kids who visit the shrine to express to gratitude. In back of the main shrine, you can see an impressive stone mound that was formed from rocks that burst from Mt. Akagi during an ancient eruption.

4

Omuro Park contains several huge tombs from the 5th-6th century in their original forms. You can walk up to the top of the mounds and even walk inside the tomb. Don't forget to thank the ancient kings for their generosity!

5

Stop for lunch at Ota Shokudo, a cozy Japanese country restaurant. Enjoy deep fried Japanese katsu (pork cutlets) atop either curry ramen or rice.

6

Oka Naosaburo Shoten is an active soy sauce brewery with 230 years of history. Brewery staff will explain in detail how to make soy sauce inside the 100-year-old soy sauce cellar, and they are happy to answer guest questions. The brewery uses a traditional method to ferment Japanese soybeans in wooden barrels, a method that only 2% of soy sauce producers use today.
