On the coast of Aragvi you will be met by the only fortress of Georgia that has reached us in its original form. Walking through the territory of the Ananuri defense complex, you will feel like a resident of the Middle Ages and learn about the glorious past of the Aragva eristavi (heads of the people). And we will definitely pay attention to the Assumption Church of the 17th century, whose facade is decorated with interesting bas-reliefs, and each element of the decor carries a hidden meaning.

Gergeti Church and Fortress
You surely saw such postcards: an ancient monastery standing on a hill on a background of snow-capped mountains.
