We start the tour with pick-up from your hotel in Cartagena. After an approximate journey of 1 hour and 30 minutes, we arrive at San Basilio de Palenque, where we will welcome you with a local refreshing drink.

You will meet our expert palenquera braiders, who carry the ancestral knowledge that has passed from generation to generation.

They will perform a traditional palenquero hairstyle from our catalog. During the process, you will learn about the cultural and symbolic meaning of each braid: escape routes, coded messages, and the connection to Afro-descendant identity.

To close the day, we will enjoy a live musical presentation, where you will know the traditional rhythms such as bullerengue, palenquero son and other sounds that vibrate the memory and the body.
