The tour starts at the Freedom of Speech Wall, you'll hear the story of the wall, and if you can find chalk, feel free to write your thoughts.
We will stop at multiple places in the Downtown Mall, you'll learn it's history, stories and the events that happened here.
You'll walk down Heather Heyer Way and hear the tragic tale off how she was hit, the Unite the Right Rally, and the sad and horrific events that happened that day.
You will stop outside the theater and hear about Jim Crow laws, the history of the theater, segregation and more.
Learn the history of Dave Matthews! This is the spot where Dave Matthews used to bartend before the band came together here in Charlottesville!
We will see the park where the infamous statue was removed and the beginning of the Unite the Right Rally. You'll hear the story of the Rally, why they came here, and the confederate statues here and around the country.
You'll stop by the McGuffey Art Center and if open feel free to enter and explore.
You'll see the Albemarle Charlottesville Historical Society, the building itself has quite the history of how it was built.
This is the oldest Synogogue in Virginia, and one of the oldest in the country. It's historic, and has a special story. It's also the site that the Unite the Right stood outside chanting.
You'll stop outside the historic courthouse, hear the story of the founding fathers, and hear about Jack Jouett's Ride, the Paul Revere of the South.
The tour ends near the downtown mall at a hidden gem, the Daedalus Bookshop. Feel free to explore!
