The alley was once part of Phoenix’s notorious red-light district in the late eighteen hundreds called “The Deuce”, a place where brothels, saloons, gambling dens, and whispered deals shaped the city’s underbelly.
It was here that Malinda “Malindy” Curtis made her mark, a courtesan whose name became synonymous with both scandal and compassion.
The tour ends at the mysterious and haunted Orpheum Theater. You'll hear about its' past, those that haunt here, and the meaning on the outside of the theater.
You'll walk the streets stopping at haunted locations and hearing about the history and haunts of Phoenix.
