About this experience
By taking a tour of the Vesuvius Crater, you can experience the extraordinary force of nature and the extent of the damage caused by the eruption in 79 AD. This tour is a must for all visitors to the area, as it is where the disaster began, which later compromised the sites that can now be visited as archaeological sites.
Transportation is provided in vintage minibuses, dating back to 1970, which makes the experience truly special. These vehicles, of course, are authorized and comply with Italian regulations for this type of passenger transport.

Guided tour by volcanological mountain guides to the crater of Vesuvius. After arriving at the top with the minivan, you pass the checkpoint and walk up along the path that leads to the path of the Crater. There the guides will gather the participants in groups and lead them along the path explaining every detail of the crater. You can also admire the particular fumaroles, gas outlets that rise towards the sky.
