Detailed itinerary

1

Being in this place is as if you were in the Middle East. As far as the eye can see there is only a stretch of white sand, blue water lakes like an oasis, and the scorching hot sun. This is the Telaga Biru Sand Desert in Busung Hamlet, Tanjung Uban District, Bintan Regency. It is unexpected that this desert was previously a bauxite sand mining area which has now hardened like coral. Mining has been stopped for a long time since the New Order during President Soeharto's reign.
