About this experience

A private tour allows you to get off the beaten path and away from the crowds. Enjoy the Northern Lights in serenity on your own terms, with a Professional Northern Lights Guide taking you to the right spot!

We pick you up from your door and whisk you away from the city lights to where we predict the best sightings, according to extensive monitoring of forecasts and real-time Space and Earth weather data.

Our vehicles are comfortable, modified super jeeps making sure we can go where needed to find the Northern Lights.

To keep you warm and cosy in the cold Icelandic night we serve home made real hot chocolate with Kleina (local delicacy) for dunking.

We bring quality camera equipment and take photos of you under the Northern Lights. We share knowledge, stories and myths about the Northern Lights and give you an insight into Iceland living.

The listed locations are a suggestions of where we might go but the final location depends on where the best sighting conditions are.

Important notes

PLEASE MAKE SURE WE HAVE A PICK UP ADDRESS FOR YOU:
We offer door-to-door pick up and drop off anywhere within greater Reykjavik. Hotel, hostel, Airbnb etc.

This is a Private Tour in a Super Jeep vehicle. Group size: 7 people maximum.

Pick up time is the stated beginning of the tour. If a customer is not present at the provided pick up location when our driver-guide arrives, and the driver-guide can not find or contact the customer within a reasonable time, this will be considered a NO SHOW and no refund will be issued.

Please make sure you dress warmly. It will be cold standing outside under the Icelandic midnight sky. We recommend layers of thick and windproof clothing, woollen socks and warm shoes, gloves and headwear. See our full clothing guide here: https://happyworld.is/how-to-layer-like-a-viking/

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and displays, or their magnitude, can never be guaranteed. We base our Go/No Go decision on cloud cover and geomagnetic forecasts and only go out when forecasts indicate a high chance of visible Northern Lights. Low level lights count as sightings. Under no circumstances will there be a refund, in full or partial, for a Non-sightings tour.

If you are not comfortable with the tour terms we urge you to cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of the start of your tour.
