COOKING CLASS IN CHITWAN: COOK AND EAT WITH LOCALS IN LOCAL THARU STYLE IN WOOD FIRE.
Before a decade ago there was still the age of collection fire-woods by local people every day to cook the food for survival. Wood-fire are still considered to be the source for the tasty foods once cooked compared too cooked in the electric equipment or on the fuel. Our activity is organized in the SAURAHA village in Chitwan National Park, which itself is the third most touristic destination of Nepal, so all the facilities are tourist standards. In Chitwan, for the guest interested we operate the cooking class in Chitwan, where we mainly focus on the local foods, the sticky rice, the green vegetables freshly picked in farm.
The main foods of Tharu people are Local Rice, Green Leaf Vegetables, Potato, Daal, Curry with local taste, Duck /Chicken Curry and Hand Grinded Pickle. This is the best way to connect with local tradition , there foods and life style
