About this experience

A small group guided tour from central Cardiff taking in the very best beaches & historical sites on the Gower peninsula, the first Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the UK.

You travel in a luxurious fully electric vehicle, limited to a maximum of 7 passengers with tour guide Andy who is a Mountain Leader and a Green Badged Tourist Guide.

Mumbles with its fine row of shops, harbour, small beaches and Victorian pier.
Three Cliffs Bay, home of adventure activity by the sea. We'll then visit Gower Heritage Centre for lunch and a guided tour of the 12th Century watermill.
Rhossili and Worms Head is a must with any trip to the Gower having to pull into this iconic spot.
Llanrhidian Common is farming Gower, with sheep, sheep and more sheep... Oh, and King Arthurs Stone.

First stop is Mumbles, a fine village with a finer seafront, a Victorian Pier and two rather lovely adjacent beaches.

We'll walk to Three Cliff's Bay, crossing the stepping stones if tide out and enjoying the beach. A further walk to Pennard Castle can be included on a good day and with a willing group.

Lunch, a 12th century mill and a guided tour of the mill and associated buildings - there is so much to see! The displays describe life on the Gower through the ages.

The common begins our journey back to Cardiff but we will stop several times to take photos from the rising ground back towards the sea and perhaps visit some standing stones and burial mounds as we go.

An iconic must see when visiting the Gower. With its cafe overlooking Worms head and a world renowned 3 mile golden sand beach on one side and steep sea cliffs dropping to the ocean the other this is another spot for a walk and plenty of selfies.

Please arrive 10 minutes early for a prompt departure, we meet on the steps at the front entrance of the museum. Look for an electric minivan with Wales Outdoors logo on the back.
