Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

After breakfasts, your private guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby and transfer you to the ferry terminal. Then you will have a 20-minute deluxe ferry to your first highlight of Xiamen, the tranquil Gulangyu Island. Don't forget to take some stunning photos of Xiamen city and the Lujiang Channel on the ferry.

Step out of the ferry, welcome to Gulangyu Island-the "garden on the sea". You'll start your journey by strolling in the elegant alleys and admiring the distinctive architectures. Inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017, Gulangyu is filled with the charming colonial buildings such as churches, consulates, etc, it is no doubt a museum of "Architecture of the World".

Then you will climb onto the highest peak on Gulangyu the Sunlight Rock, admire the bird eye view of this tranquil island.

Get down from Sunlight Rock, you will visit the unique seaside park to Shuzhuang Garden with a world-class Piano Museum in it, which is the only piano museum in China. After the visit on Gulangyu, you will take the ferry back to the Xiamen island and have an authentic seafood lunch in a popular local restaurant where the locals eat.

Stop 4

After lunch, you will have a 30-minute good rest in a well maintained, air conditioned non smoking private vehicle while it takes you to your next highlight of Xiamen-the South Putuo Temple. The temple was first built in Tang Dynasty with over 1000 years of history, you can admire the famous Buddhist cultural relics collection here.

Then you will go to your third highlight of Xiamen-the Hulishan Fortress. Built in the year of 1891, the Hulishan Fortress integrated the styles of Ming and Qing Dynasties. You can touch and even stand on those well-preserved ancient military facilities (such as the gates, walls, emplacements, the barracks, the castle, the trenches and fortifications).

Come out of the Hulishan Fortress park, you will have a leisure walk at the famous Island Ring Road at the beach, which is your last highlight of Xiamen. Enjoy the stunning sea view and the tender breeze, this is where your wonderful day ends.

After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel, airport, train station or any other places in downtown Xiamen like a restaurant or a bar if you like.
