The Royal Palace of Caserta is a royal palace, with an adjoining park. It is the largest royal residence in the world by volume, the historical owners were the Bourbons of Naples.
The Palace was wanted by the King of Naples Charles of Bourbon, who, taken by a competition with the French royalty and eager to donate structures to Naples such as to be able to play a role of capital city of European level.
