About this experience

Liverpool is world-famous for its musical legacy, most notably The Beatles. However, this proud musical city has produced a conveyor belt of talent before and since Beatlemania, the story of which has not been fully told until now.

This brand-new unique experience offers a personal insider view of Liverpool from the point of view of a music icon leading the tour. The tour is led by either Pete Hooton (lead singer) or Keith Mullin (guitarist) of the 90s band The Farm. You will discover little-known secrets of the city and learn about their personal musical journey to fame.

You will get a guided tour of sites linked to their personal and musical journeys in central Liverpool. Gain unique insights not available anywhere else. The small group walking tour with no more than 12 guests is an easy, gently paced walking tour. You will also get a chance to chat with your icon at the end of the tour.

Your tour will start at LIPA, founded by Paul McCartney and the building in which he went to school.

Experience a personally curated tour of sites in central Liverpool. The tour will visit sites, not on the usual tourist trail and showcase Brian's story of being part of a global music phenomenon in the 1980s. Discover little-known places not normally visited on the tourist trail and hear stories not available anywhere else. You will see gig venues, recording studios, pubs, hangouts, and more on this easy slow-paced walk. See the biggest studio complex outside London and the first UK Superclub that changed the face of dance music in the UK. You’ll also see the location of Probe Records home of the second wave of Liverpool groups in the 1970s/1980s/1990s. Visit to the Ministry Rehearsal Rooms and Crash rehearsal rooms where many bands including Frankie Goes To Hollywood, The Farm, The La’s, Space, Cast, Flock of Seagulls, China Crisis, The Zutons, The Lighning Seeds, The Wombats and Shack all rehearsed.

The tour will conclude with a personal chat with your musical icon over a complimentary drink at an iconic pub in central Liverpool. Here you will have a chance to relax, ask questions, get pictures or memorabilia signed and take selfies. You will also receive a free item of memorabilia.
