Early morning at 4:30am, you will embark on a drive to volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing about the Hike at 7:00am.
Drive to the starting point of the hike and ascend the volcanoe via shrubs and thickets, nature allowing you will spot primates like baboons, monkeys, and wildlife species like elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks and various unique vegetation zones with magical views of the countryside.
The hike takes about 5-8 hours ascend and back. Hiking to the summit of Muhabura volcano rewards you with vistas of the craterlake at the top with crystal clear water.
Enjoy a bush lunch at the caldera with stunning views and later descend back to the park headquarters.
