Stop 1

Enter the Colosseum and learn about the spectacular and incredible entertainment organized in ancient times. Discover the techniques of construction invented by the Romans, the astonishing ability of the gladiators, the violent fighting between exotic animals, and the high level of technology achieved by Roman engineers to build the Colosseum.
Your tour guide will be at your disposal to answer your questions.

Visit the Roman Forum. This is one of the most important archaeological areas in the world with some of Ancient Rome's most evocative ruins.

Leaving the Arch of Titus walk down the Sacred Way, the triumphal road where the Centurions of Caesar marched after their return from countless battles and conquests.

After admiring this impressive monument's runway, get prepared for visiting Maxentius' Basilica and Romulus temple.

Continuing to the Forum see the temple dedicate to Emperor Antoninus Pius and his wife. An extraordinary example of reusing during the ancient period.

Your visit ends with the temple of Julius Caesar, built by Emperor August to commemorate his father.

All around you can see the building where the daily life in Ancient Rome took place such as the two republican basilicas, the temple of Saturn and the temple of Dioscuri, the House of the Vestal Virgins, and much more ...

Explore Palatine Hill, the site of an older settlement from the 9th century BC, said by the legend as the place where Romulus founded the original city of Rome. At the end of the tour you will have free time to explore this area.

Getting on the hill appreciate this archaeological site, with the ruins of many generations of Rome’s emperors on show.

Important notes

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
When booking, all travelers must provide their full name and date of birth. For both options, each participant must have a valid photo ID (ID card, driver’s license, or passport). Security will prevent entry to the Colosseum if the information provided at booking is inaccurate or does not match the ID presented on the day of the tour.

Guided Tour – Meeting Point:
For the GUIDED TOUR, meet at Piazza di San Clemente, in front of the Basilica entrance. Our staff will hold a “Tour in the City” sign. Departure may vary by up to 60 minutes; changes will be communicated at least in advance. Arrive at least 30 minutes early for check-in. Late arrivals cannot join and will not be refunded.

Audio Tour – Meeting Point:
For the AUDIO TOUR, meet at Via Labicana 96, 20 minutes before your booked time. Staff will provide your ticket and QR code to download the audio guide app in your phone (smartphone from 2020 or newer required). Headphones are recommended. Your ticket grants the access to the Colosseum and Arena floor at the time you booked, and 24-hour access to Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. All info will also be sent via WhatsApp, SMS, or Viator chat the day before; provide a valid phone number and check messages.

The order of visits to the monuments included in the tour may vary. Children’s discounts apply only with a valid ID. For the safety of all guests, the operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication; no refund will be issued in such cases. Any disability must be communicated at the time of booking.

The Colosseum Underground is not included. The Colosseum may close areas or the entire site without notice due to events, strikes, weather, or other reasons. In such cases, an alternative itinerary or partial refund will be offered. Access to archaeological areas or museums may be delayed beyond our control.
