One of the first monasteries in this region, magnificent in its architectural design, unique to its time and place. This monastery is more than 8 hundred years old and has many interesting stories connected to it.

Haven't heard of the most beautiful fresco paintings from medieval Serbian period. This is the place where you find them. Monastery of Sopoćani is a magnificent place with it's vivid fresco paintings more than 6 hundred years old. Did someone tell you that the special blue color used for frescos here was made of Lapis lazulie a mineral which was as expensive as gold.
Witness it yourself!
