Detailed itinerary

After picking up all guests at their homes, our tour starts at 7 am, we will go via the Calera to appreciate a panoramic view of the north of Bogota in the viewpoint, we will contemplate the beautiful landscapes of the Sabana de la Capital, then we will arrive at our first destination: The Colonial Town of Guatavita at 830 am, where we will be for 45 minutes, there we walk and appreciate the imposing white houses, with clay roofs and stone floors. Every corner of this beautiful place will be ideal for taking spectacular photos.

To reach our second destination, we will take our vehicle and after 35 minutes of travel we will arrive at the entrance of La Laguna de Guatavita, it is a guided tour in a narutal reserve, a Spanish-speaking guide will take you for a walk after two hours, he will explain the ancient rituals of the Muisca culture and take you to contemplate the Impressive Laguna de Guatavita located on top of a mountain at almost 3000 meters high. If any of the members of the group wants translation in English, they must pay at the entrance of our bilingual driver who will translate the tour for you.

Luego de 35 minutos de recorrido llegaremos a la entrada de La Laguna de Guatavita, es una visita guiada en una reserva natural, un guía del lugar de habla hispana los llevara por una caminata de dos hora, les explicara los antiguos rituales de la cultura Muisca y los llevara a contemplar la Impresionante Laguna de Guatavita ubicada en la cima de una montana a casi 3000 metros de altura.

Our third destination is the Sabana de Bogota, which is not a specific site, on the contrary, it is the combination of all the landscapes that you will have the opportunity to see throughout the journey from when you leave Bogota until you return back to your hotel. It is an area that brings together many towns in the region, you will see valleys, different types of trees, animals, local vegetation, flowers of different colors and shapes, lagoons among others.

After contemplating "La Sabana de Bogota" for more than an hour of travel, we have finally reached our 4th stop: The town of Zipaquira, there we will taste a delicious typical lunch of the region in a local restaurant with many options for all tastes. We will take advantage of our proximity to the historic center of Zipaquira and we will walk for 20 minutes to explore its squares and colonial streets.

Stop 5

Last but not least, we will finally arrive at our 5th stop, The Zipaquira Salt Mine, called the First Wonder of Colombia. The Cathedral Salt Mine becomes one of the most important tourist destinations, it is a former salt mine that has been converted to a cathedral. You descend to the cathedral depths and you arrive to the great central dome where is possible to see the biggest cross underground, the greatest hall for the ceremonies of the cathedral and a nice boulevard. Besides, you might see the other atracctions such Cathedral Light Show, movie about the mine and the water mirror among others. You spend around 2 hours inside by your own. After we drive back to Bogota for over one hour driving and I'll drop you off in your hotel.

Por último llegaremos a la 5th parada: La Mina de Sal de Zipaquirá, la Primera Maravilla de Colombia. Es uno de los destinos turísticos más importantes, es una antigua mina de sal que ha sido convertida en catedral. 2 horas dentro y regresamos a Bogota.
