Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

The Taj Mahal, an ivory-white marble mausoleum, stands gracefully on the right bank of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. Commissioned in 1632 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it was built to enshrine the tomb of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The monument also serves as the final resting place of Shah Jahan himself.

2
Stop 2

Spread over a sprawling 94 acres, this massive red sandstone fort lies parallel to the Yamuna River and situated 2 kilometers northwest of the Taj Mahal. The Agra Fort (Red Fort) was originally occupied by Sikarwar Rajputs and was later captured by Lodi rulers of Delhi. In 1526, after the Lodi’s were defeated in the Battle of Panipat, the victor Emperor Babur took over the fort. After losing the fort briefly to the Suri rulers, it was eventually reclaimed by Akbar who made Agra his capital.

3
Stop 3

Mehtab Bagh, a picturesque garden on the banks of the Yamuna River, was built by Emperor Babur as the last in a series of 11 gardens along the river's eastern bank. Designed as an integral part of the Taj Mahal complex, its layout aligns perfectly with the gardens of the Taj, making it an ideal spot to admire the iconic monument.

4
Stop 4

Afterwards Drive to Baby Taj : -Tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah is a Mughal mausoleum in the city of Agra. Often described as a "jewel box", sometimes called the "Baby Tāj", the tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah is often regarded as a draft of the Tāj Mahal.

5

On the way to Jaipur, the driver will take you to Fatehpur Sikri, an abandoned city renowned for its architectural brilliance. Built as the Mughal Empire's capital in the late 16th century, it served this role for only 14 years before being deserted by the early 17th century. Today, this historic city stands as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Agra's most prominent tourist attractions.
