Wat Plai Laem is an impressive colourful temple complex. You can see the smiling Buddha and the 18-armed Buddha from afar. Between the two statues there is also a large temple. The temple and the Buddhas stand in the middle of a landscaped pond which makes it extra special. To be able to see the temple and statues up close, you first have to cross colourful bridges.

Stop 6

Grandfather and Grandmother rocks Your last stop is a legendary place created by nature itself- Grandfather and Grandmother rocks. Local people believe that a wish for a baby made by the rocks will come true.

7

Guan Yu now represents loyalty, righteousness, bravery and honesty among the Chinese people, particularly in Southern China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and their descendants overseas. Countless shrines pay homage to him, including the 350-year-old Leng Buai Ia Shrine in Bangkok’s Chinatown. In Taoism he is revered as a guardian deity, while Chinese Buddhism looks up to him as a bodhisattva.

8

The Secret Garden,or Tannins Waterfall otherwise known as the Magic Garden or Secret Buddha Garden can be found in the hills of Koh Samui and was built by a local Samui fruit farmer, Nim Thongsuk, starting it in 1976 when he was 77 years old. The Secret Garden is a beautiful landscaped garden featuring flowers and trees native to Koh Samui and Thailand and many Buddha statues with different meanings arranged in scenarios representing different ideals, which your tour guide will explain to you. Winding through the garden is is a little stream and a series of miniature waterfalls. The only way to get there is through the jungle, rivers and mountains by 4×4. The roads leading through the hills is impressive but stick to the main road, it can be interesting turning
