Day 1 – Nairobi-Samburu
Our team meets you on your arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, and after arrival formalities, be driven to Samburu through beautiful farmlands as you head north towards the semi-arid countryside of the colorful Samburu tribesmen. You will arrive at the lodge for late lunch and rest followed by afternoon game viewing; animals in Samburu include rare grants gazelle, gerenuk, gravy’s zebra, beisa Oryx and other rare wild plants. Other activities on offer include guided bush walks, camel rides, bush sundowners, cultural visits and walks to nearby Samburu villages and others. Samburu Sopa Lodge has an attractive location within the Samburu National Reserve with panoramic views of distant rolling hills to one side and Mt. Kenya on the other. It is the only lodge in Samburu to have a waterhole, so after a day of game drives out on the plains guests can spend lazy evenings relaxing in the comfort of the lobby or their bedroom veranda and view various animals coming to drink. As part of the popular Sopa group of properties, Samburu Sopa Lodge offers comfortable and affordable accommodation right in the heart of the Samburu game park. It is surrounded by plains and hills – home to a wide variety of wildlife including the key animals for which Kenya is famous.

Day 2- Samburu Game Drives
Enjoy a full day of game drives within Samburu Park in the company of your experienced tour driver. Start off the day with early breakfast, and then carry picnic lunch boxes as you depart for a rewarding morning game drive. Enjoy uninterrupted photography sessions stopping frequently to spot and observe animals in nature. Break for picnic lunch at a quiet spot before proceeding with the afternoon’s program. Day 3 – Samburu - Mount Kenya

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive to the serene and pristine wilderness of Mt Kenya National Park with beautiful scenery on the way and a view of Kenya’s tallest mountain. You will arrive at the lodge for check in and relaxation at the balcony of your rooms as you wait for lunch to be served. After lunch, you may go for a game drive or spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure watching animals from your room balcony which faces the floodlit waterhole which attracts animals during the day and night. Serena Mountain Lodge, a timbered tree hotel is set amid the primeval forests on the lower slopes of Mount Kenya and offers a tranquil retreat with sweeping views across the tree-canopy. The open-air viewing-deck looks down on to the hotel’s own water hole and salt-lick, which attract numerous herds of elephant and buffalo.

Day 4 – Mount Kenya-Aberdare National Park
After breakfast you will check out of the lodge and drive at leisure to the scenic Aberdare Ranges. Aberdare is also known as the land of majestic waterfalls, rich in bird life and forested areas. On arrival, you will proceed to the Lodge for check in and lunch before proceeding for an afternoon game drive inside the park to see the forests, riverine vegetation and waterfalls. Aberdare is also home to animals and birds, primates and insects. Optional activities available at an extra cost include trout fishing, horse riding and guided nature walks. Alternatively, you may just relax at the balcony of your room as you watch animals come to the water hole. Dinner and overnight at Ark Lodge(Full board)

The Ark Lodge is set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Resembling and named after Noah’s Ark, The Ark comprises of three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide a superb location for wildlife to be seen. So that you don’t miss any animal sightings, the night guard will buzz your room when special animals come to the waterhole. The Ark has four viewing areas for observing the ever-present animal activity. There is also a ground-level bunker – the perfect hideout for the discerning photographer. This is a circular pillbox-like structure, and it is from this vantage point that pictures of animals on the salt lick only yards away may be taken through the view holes in complete safety.

Day 5 – Aberdare-Lake Nakuru
Breakfast is followed by check out from lodge and departure to Lake Nakuru arriving in the afternoon. You will have a short game drive en route to the lodge for check in and lunch. After lunch, you will enjoy early evening game viewing within the Scenic Park. Animals and birds that are easy to spot include flamingo, pelican, stork, white rhino, buffalo, giraffe, warthog and others. You will also visit the scenic observation hill or baboon cliff where you will see the lake from the view point. After the game drives, Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge(Full board)

Lake Nakuru Lodge is a beautiful eco-lodge located inside Lake Nakuru National Park boasting unobstructed views of the lake and wildlife. It offers accommodations with free WiFi, seating area and flat-screen TV. There is a private bathroom with bath and free toiletries in each unit, along with a hair dryer. A buffet breakfast is served each morning at the property. There is an in-house restaurant, which serves a variety of Indian, African and American dishes and also offers dairy-free, gluten-free and vegetarian options. The lodge offers an outdoor pool. Guests can also relax in the garden.

Day 6 – Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara
After breakfast you will check out of the lodge and enjoy a final morning game drive within the park to spot the early risers. Afterwards, you exit from the park and drive to Masai Mara arriving for hot lunch at Narok Town. Afterwards you will enter the park for a rewarding evening game drive. Masai Mara is a recommended all year destination for wildlife viewing. After the game drive, you are transferred to your lodge for check in and rest at Mara Sopa Lodge(Full board)

Mara Sopa Lodge is located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills in Maasai Mara Game Reserve. The lodge has beautiful garden and trees are so lush and mature. All the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs, and these stretch along the line of the hills with the impressively large public area buildings and the swimming pool at their centre.

Day 7 – Masai Mara Game Drives
After breakfast, spend the day with uninterrupted and unlimited game drives exploring the marvelous and extensive Mara Reserve looking for animals and taking photographs. The driver will drive you at a leisurely pace as you stop often to enable you watch animals, take pictures and enjoy bird watching. You will carry packed picnic lunch boxes so as to maximize your time in the park enjoying game drives. You will also see the large Nile crocodile at Mara River and also large pods of hippo at the hippo pool during your picnic lunch. If lucky, you may also witness a hunt close to the river or in the extensive plains. In the evening, you will transfer back to accommodation for dinner and res at Mara Sopa Lodge (Full board)

Day 8 – Masai Mara-Nairobi

After early breakfast, you will check out of lodge with picnic lunch for a final morning game drive to see the park when most active. After the game drives, you will depart from the park and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the evening for transfer to Jomo Kenyatta Airport to connect with your outbound flight. Dinner can be organized on request at a favorite restaurant in the city.
