Himeji Castle, aka the White Heron Castle for its color, is a Japanese fortified castle. It dates from medieval times and is one of only 12 Japanese castles to have been perfectly preserved. UNESCO has also designated this castle a World Heritage Site. It’s beautiful! And now it is open to our visits.
The west wing is the second part of the visit to the castle. We discover the apartments of the samurai, the maids, then Princess Sen, and their way of life is explained.
