Stop 1

We will pick you up from your hotel or any place you might prefer (hotel, apartment, Airbnb, Athens airport, or Piraeus port).

We will take you on a drive through the fertile plains of Boeotia. We'll drive through the towns of Thebes (related to the tragedy of King Oedipus), Levadia and Arachova.

Our destination is Delphi, we will arrive after a 2,5 hours trip (including brief stop).

Located at the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi's always been a place of great natural beauty. It offers a landscape of unparalleled majesty.

Here lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. The ancient Greeks chose this unique location for their most sacred Oracle which they dedicated to their god Apollo. The Oracle had a power of great influence on states and individuals for millennia.

Upon our arrival in Delphi, we'll visit its many archaeological sites, such as the Castalia Spring and the main archaeological site (which includes the Temple of Apollo, the Treasury of the Athenians, the Theatre, the Stadium,etc.).

We will also visit the archaeological Museum of Delphi.

Among the treasures kept in this museum, are the famous statue of Antinoos and the unique bronze statue of the Charioteer dated from 475 B.C.

Everyone needs a break. So, we'll move to a traditional Greek restaurant in the picturesque town of Delphi. It's a perfect way to recharge our batteries and taste the local cuisine.

After our lunch, we'll move back to the archaeological site once more and we'll visit the ruins of important structures, the Temple of Athena Pronea and the Tholos.

On our way back, we will make a brief interval in the settlement of Arachova. It is a picturesque village built at an altitude of 1000 meters. It is considered to be the best winter resort in Greece. There you can purchase some of its famous products, such as hand-made pastries, cheese and many others!

Stop 9

Late in the afternoon, we'll be back in Athens. Our staff will guide you back to the place that we picked you up and this will be the end of your «Private Delphi Tours From Athens».
