After 45min by car starting from Chania we will be at Zourva village at 550m altitute that is a place with wonderfull amfitheatric view.Starting to hike the path is quite stipy in a cypress forest getting highter and highter.Small openings allowes view to lower villages. After an hour the path is less stipy and the view contains an option to the gorge of Tromarissa on the west and the hightest mountains.Later on the path continiu lower for a while in to a stream and again highter to Tromarissa. There is a spring there with fresh watter all during the year.Gigandium trees exist there, also herbs and several plants.The altitute is 1050m there and the total altitute of the hike up is 600m.It is a hike that people always love available all over the year.The path in the past,used from the locals in due to move hightest and hightest during summertime as locals that had sheep and goads were nomads.My family also were people of the mountain in the past.I am a certified local hiking leader.
